Decano Industries in Toluca, Mexico, is developing a “smart” speed bump. This speed bump measures the speed of the car driving over it and collapses if the car is going the appropriate speed. However, if the car is going faster than the speed limit, the speed bump remains intact.
Benefit to the Customer: This design rewards drivers who obey the speed limit by letting them avoid the startling impact caused by speed bumps.
